Hello and welcome! I’m Mihaela, a BACP Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive experience in private practice and mental health organizations.
I started working in the helping professions in 2015 after training as a Reiki practitioner. This initial step led me to complete two years of training in Hypnotherapy, followed by another two years in Counselling and Coaching and a year in Attachment Based Psychotherapy.
Through this combination of professional training and experience, I’ve developed a solid understanding of the complex factors that influence our mental and emotional health. Central to my work is the belief that our relationship with ourselves plays a crucial role in the changes we seek in life—a principle that lies at the heart of my therapeutic approach.
I’m an accredited member of the BACP and I follow their ethical framework. I’m insured by Holistic, have an enhanced DBS check and am registered with the ICO.
My training, qualifications and certifications include:
• PGDip Integrative Counselling and Coaching
• L5 Diploma in Attachment Based Psychotherapy
• Diploma in Hypnotherapy
• Certificate in Systemic Constellations and Transactional Analysis
• Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist Certification
• Advanced Rainbow Baby Training
• Cruse Advanced Specialist Bereavement Support Foundation course
• Single Session Therapy Certification
Who do I work with?
I work with adults (19+) from diverse backgrounds experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, and perinatal-related challenges. Pregnancy, birth, infertility, loss, and early parenthood can bring profound emotional shifts, questions around identity and self-worth, and memories from our own experiences of being cared for. These experiences can affect not only biological mothers, but also fathers and adoptive parents.
I also recognise that loss can take many forms throughout life — through bereavement, separation, changing relationships, life transitions, or losing connection with ourselves.
I deliver sessions in English and Romanian.
How do I work?
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you as an individual. I work holistically, paying attention to thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, behaviours, and relational dynamics, while also considering the influence of family systems, culture, upbringing, and environment. Therapy can help us understand the story we hold about ourselves, where it came from, and how we might begin to relate to ourselves differently.
Clients often describe therapy with me as grounding, insightful, and supportive. Many say they leave sessions feeling more self-aware, less self-critical, and better able to navigate relationships, boundaries, and difficult emotions with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Whether you are looking for support with a specific issue or simply feel that something no longer feels sustainable, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Please feel free to ask me questions during an introductory call. I offer all new clients a free, up to 30-minute video call. You can find more information about my work on the FAQs, SST and COACHING pages.
